Super Rod Presentation Dinner

The Super Rod Association held their Annual Presentation dinner last Saturday night the 14th of July at the Warrnambool RSL.

The winner of the 2017/18 Super Rod Aggregate went to Andrew Howard who secured 1431 points over the course of the season, Ewan McKenzie finished in second place on 1278 points with Neville Gange rounding out the top three place getters finishing on 1091 points. Howard was unable to attend the award’s due to the birth of his son the day prior sent his brother Shaun Walsh in his place to accept the award on his behalf.

 

The Rookie of the Year award went to Robert Farrer of Swan Hill who was the highest point scoring first year driver. Neville Gange was the recipient of the Most Improved driver having claimed eight heat wins and four final second places. The recipient of this season’s President’s Award went to Sally Woolstencroft, while Peter Duynhoven received the unluckiest driver award.

 

The Western Cup series saw Andrew Howard once again victorious taking out the series ahead of Ewan McKenzie and Michael Coad.

 

The Super Rod Association will hold their Annual General Meeting on Sunday the 5th of August at the Cobden Hotel at 1pm.
