The Super Rods took to Heytesbury Stockfeed’s Simpson Speedway last Saturday 13th of January, despite the tricky track conditions due to the inclement weather it was Andrew Howard who came away with the win ahead of Darryl Nelson and Quentin Tanner.

In the first heat of the night saw Tanner take the lead before washing high with three laps remaining and allowing Ewan McKenzie to move forward and take the win ahead of Tanner and Nelson. Heat two saw Howard the winner when he led home Neville Gange and Nelson.

Paul Verhoeven took a flag to flag win in the third heat with Peter Duynhoven capitalising when the cars of Coad and Bath tangled, with Howard Stansfield also moving forward to claim third.

The line up for the final saw Nelson and Howard making up the front row, the second row consisted of Tanner and Verhoeven, they were followed by McKenzie, Stansfield, Gange, Coad, Peter Duynhoven,  Simper, Sally Woolstencroft, Jason Kavanagh, Alex Bath, Robert Richardson and Amy Duynhoven

At the drop of the green it was Howard who led the field away from Nelson, Tanner and Verhoeven.
