Court adds his name to the prestigious honour roll, Hopper’s Crossing’s Jamie May finished second with Lancefield’s Shaun Walsh third.

It was action aplenty in the first heat of the night when before the cars could exit the first turn a red light stoppage when the car of Stan Marco Snr suddenly turning left and collecting the wall before rolling over. Paul Verhoeven led the race for the first seven laps before Walsh was able to move to the front, with Michael Coad third.

Heat two saw Court claim the win ahead of Jacob Pitcher and Stan Marco Jnr. In the third heat it was a green to checker win for May leading home Luke Cole and Pitcher. Court secured his second heat win in the final heat of the night with Walsh and Coad rounding out the top three.

A four wide Super Rod salute was seen prior to the drop of the green where it was Court who took to the front ahead of May, Pitcher and Walsh, with the coming to a caution the following lap when the car of Cole spun. As the race resumed it was Court who continued to set the pace while May led the frantic chase pack.

A yellow flag in lap six when the car of Woolstencroft lost power steering and hit the tyre on the pole line. Court continued to lead ahead of May, while Walsh applied heavy pressure to Pitcher for a number of laps before moving into third in lap 17. With three laps remaining Walsh made a lunge for second but May was able to retain his place with May challenging Court for the lead with two laps remaining.
